(APA) Heritage Month.

This year's celebration, hosted by Speaker Christine Quinn and Council
Members John Liu, Robert Jackson, Alan Gerson, Sara Gonzalez, and Vincent
Gentile, will highlight the leadership of high school students from
throughout the City and feature a panel discussion on Asian Pacific
Americans in Journalism.  Council Members will also take a moment to
recognize two New Yorkers who have given exemplary service to the community:
outgoing Poet Laureate of Queens, Ishle Yi Park, and award-winning
journalist Ti-Hua Chang.
 

Please be sure to bring photo ID and arrive early to allow time for the
security check into City Hall.  We look forward to seeing you there!
